
Harry served in the Norfolk Regiment and saw duty in France and Flanders he was killed in action 1 August 1916. He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial in France.
Born Surlingham in 1884 to Frederick and Mary (Died 1889) of Mill Lane, Surlingham. Harry was married to Blanche M nee Aldis of Upper Street, Horning.
It is very possible that Lance Corporal Jordan was awarded the following campaign medals:
- British War Medal
- The Memorial Death Plaque.
Harry’s brothers in law William and Herbert Aldis aged 24 and 22 respectively werealso killed in action and are commemorated on Yelverton’s Role of Honour.
