Bramrocks Theatre group adaption of Moliere’s 1673 Paris milieu in ‘The Hypochondriac’ is funny, lively and well adapted. The oldest farce is still relative in its messages for life today. Giving away one’s daughter was then normal, but poor Argan did not reckon with the cunning of the female species and is thoroughly outwitted by the well acted Toinette and his delightful daughter Angelique.
The play will commence at Rockland St. Mary’s School lane, NR14 7EU, Margaret Mack Hall Thursday 23rd, Fri.24th & Sat.25th. May, 7.30 pm. There is a licensed bar from 6.45pm.
