Church extension update

There is only one stage to go in the final approvals process before we can give the go-ahead to the building contractor who will carry out the work.  The procedures which surround any significant work on to an Anglican Church are designed to protect these special places which are much a part of the fabric of our landscape, from any unsightly or inappropriate alterations.  We know that after all the consultations with the specialist bodies with an interest, that our design which will provide a fitting addition to the present building.  So we have every confidence that the crucial permission will be granted before the end of May.

Once the work commences, there will be an element of disruption in the Churchyard for a few weeks but normal activities can still go ahead as long as warning notices are strictly adhered to.

Please look out for these notices on the gate and in the Church porch as well as on the fencing around the works.  Please do not under any circumstances enter the working area.
