Do you love the outdoors and want to connect with other young people who share your interests? Are you considering training for a job in nature as part of your post 16 pathway, and want to get some experience? Are you one of the increasing number of young people suffering from eco-anxiety? If so, helping nature in a practical way could also help you to feel better. Whatever your motivation – nature needs you!
The Name of the group is Ents, and it is for high school aged people. It is free to take part and has been kindly funded by the South Yare Wildlife Group.
How does it work?
We will arrange a work party roughly every 6 weeks in school holidays. Once you have registered your interest, you will join a pool of volunteers who will be invited to come to each work party. You don’t have to come to every one, and it is free to take part. There are 15 spaces per work party.
The first work party is at Wheatfen tomorrow from 10am until 1pm! If you would like to come, help out, and learn about Hazel coppicing, get in touch. We have a couple of spaces left. Regitsering first is essential if you want to take part.
If you / your young person would like to sign up, please contact Rose Hoare on 07956 704195.
