You are invited to join warden Will Fitch on a guided walk of Wheatfen Reserve, home to a wide range of wildlife, rare fen flowers, dragonflies, a wide range of birds, and the iconic Swallowtail butterfly.
The walk will take approximately 2 hours, walking the paths of Wheatfen. Good footwear is recommended – hiking boots would be ideal for the time of year.
Will has lots of anecdotes to share about the history and conservation management and will discuss Ted Ellis’s legacy and the many projects ongoing at the reserve.
You can book via email or telephone – info@wheatfen.org or 01508 538036. There is a limit of 20 people, so places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Meet in the car park at 10am.
