Surlingham Parish Council has received an update from Norfolk County Council regarding repairs to the island at The Street/Cut Loke/The Covey junction:

“We apologise for the delay in resolving this matter. Works have been programmed to replace the fallen timber bollard on the island and to rebuild the rutted and damaged island. We are in the process of obtaining a traffic management plan to allow these works to be undertaken safely. Verge repairs cannot take place over the winter season as the wet conditions prevent any repairs from holding for long. Works are due to be completed after the winter season.”
