Surlingham.org celebrates its fifth birthday this month.
The 1115 news posts since inception have publicised the usual range of local activities: from pilates, to pantos, quizzes to regattas, but have also included tracing ancestors and peahens (yes), a 100th birthday party, flood warnings, reporting water outages and road diversions. Surlingham.org is a community web site in that these posts are placed by about 15 representatives of local groups and organisations, rather than a single administrator. Whilst 186 people with an interest in Surlingham are currently signed up to receive these posts directly by email, the site is also visited by well over a thousand unique IP addresses each month (that’ s a phone, tablet or computer). To sign up just click the + Follow in the very bottom right of the window.
If you want to publicise an event, or require a post placed do use CONTACT US to get in touch. A village calendar endeavours to keep track of all events which are going to take place.
