NCC Consultation on the Norwich Western Link

Norwich Western Link

The final section of the Northern Distributor Road, or Broadland Northway, has opened and is significantly shortening journey times for many people as well as changing the way people travel around the greater Norwich area.

Hopefully you will also be aware that we are currently in the middle of an eight week public consultation about the Norwich Western Link, asking people about their experiences of travelling through the area to the west of Norwich and what, if anything, they think we should do to tackle any transport issues that exist.

The consultation closes at midnight on Tuesday 3 July and, I would urge you to make your views known and respond to the consultation via www.norfolk.gov.uk/nwl.  It should take less than 10 minutes to complete the consultation questionnaire and it’s very important we get as many responses as possible, from a wide range of people, so that we can factor these insights and opinions into our decision-making.

Please note, at this stage we are not proposing any options – we are gathering evidence to come up with what we hope will be the most effective proposals.  At the point that we have any proposals, we will carry out further consultation on these.

We look forward to hearing from you.

David Allfrey, Infrastructure Delivery Manager, Norwich Western Link, Infrastructure Delivery, Community and Environmental Services Department, Norfolk County Council.
