The Norfolk Record Office in County Hall provides assistance to interested individuals who wish to explore, collect and preserve information relating to the present or the past in their localities. Regular half day sessions on ‘Behind the Scenes at the Record Office’ are held and I hope to attend a session this week.
The Record Office is currently consulting the public about how the Record Office can best support voluntary groups and societies in Norfolk that aspire to become “community archives” for their localities. A special session will be held at the Archive Centre at County Hall on Thursday 19 July at 6.30 to 8pm. Why not attend? Just turn up; its free and open to all interested parties.
Look out for further updates on this exciting possibility.
