It is with regret that the ‘Riverbank Spring Clean 2020’ litter pick that was due to take place on Saturday 18th April 2020 is unfortunately cancelled this year due to the current circumstances. It is not going to be postponed to later in the year as the vegetation of the footpaths will be too overgrown which will make picking the litter very difficult and will cause too much disturbance to the wildlife.

However, on a more positive note if anyone needs a little bit of fresh air and wants to incorporate cleaning the litter up as they walk then there is litter-picking equipment available in Surlingham to use all the time. I would also like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the litter pick this year and in previous years and we hope to resume with the annual litter picks again next year.
