Tickets selling out fast!

Friends of Surlingham School (FOSS), the School’s fundraising charity, is now set up as a ‘good cause’ on the website http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk, which is a free way for us all to raise money for the School just by shopping online.

We can shop online with over 2700 retailers, including the big names like Amazon, Argos, Next, John Lewis, Sainsburys, Sports Direct, Tesco….the list goes on and on! And for each purchase, the retailer makes a donation to the School! It’s as simple as that! We don’t have to pay a fee to join, it’s completely free.

All you need to do is set yourself up as a Supporter of FOSS on http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk by following the simple instructions below. Then shop online via the easyfundraising website and the money will come rolling in! Please ask everyone in your house and all your family and friends who shop online to set themselves up too!

In the box ‘Name of a good cause’ type in Friends of Surlingham School and click on ‘Find’
Friends of Surlingham School should be 1st on the list of good causes that comes up
Click on the green button ‘Support this cause’ next to our name
Takes you to ‘Step 1 of 2’ – complete your name, address, email and set a password
Step 2 – download the Find & Remind toolbar – it reminds you every time a donation is available from the website you are on.
DONE! EASY AS THAT!

There will be a Ladies Christmas Meal at Coldham Hall on Thursday 12th December, with tickets priced at £15 of which £5 per ticket will be donated to FOSS. It is open to all although there are a limited number of places (30) so tickets need to be purchased quickly! Dear Residents and Local Business Owners,

We are currently planning our Christmas Raffle, with monies raised going towards improved ICT computer facilities for the children.
We are hoping that you will be very generous and donate a suitable prize for our Raffle. It would be hugely appreciated.
If you are able to help, please hand in your donated prize to the School Office or alternatively email the School via http://www.surlinghamschool.com with details of the prize you are able to offer.
We will start selling tickets on Monday 2nd December so we would be grateful for all prize donations and prize details prior to that date.

After a meeting last week FOSS ( Friends of Surlingham School) has been re-formed and has a new committee. For those new to the village this is the organisation which aims to raise funds for the school, often called the ‘PTA’ elsewhere.

Many of you will have fond memories of the school if you children went there, and I am sure will be happy to support and enjoy some of the events they have planned.  Full details will appear on Surlingham.org.
