We regularly visit a village in Italy an hour north of Rome.  Casaprota is in the Sabina mountains and has a similar population to Surlingham.  Some people there would like to set up a ‘link’ with a village in Britain and have approached us about it.  This could start very informally by individuals corresponding via email/Facebook perhaps with a view to arranging a visit at some future date.  A few people in Surlingham have already expressed an interest. Would anyone else like an Italian person to write to?  This is open to all ages and you don’t need any Italian as the Italians are keen to use their English.  Have a look at Special Events on Surlingham.org for more details.
