Hellington and Rockland St Mary Community Reserve

Tree planting

Many thanks, to those who planted 300 trees in February. The planted area is on the south side, as you enter the Reserve, and should provide a richer habitat for the diversity of flora and fauna we all hope to see.

I have been pleased by the feedback we have received from all quarters and look forward to hearing more.

We will be launching the subscription campaign for 2016 in March and hope you will continue to support this community programme.

Please come to the Second Annual General Meeting of the Reserve to be held at the Margaret Mack Room at 7.30pm on Tuesday 24th May.

We are delighted that Helen Baczkowska, Conservation Officer with Norfolk Wildlife Trust has agreed to speak to the meeting. Helen has supported the Reserve, giving advice and support to our endeavours. In particular, she has helped with the development of our management plan, which will be presented to the meeting. In broad outline this will help us plan to maintain and support the Reserve, but what we want to hear from stakeholders and the whole community are your suggestions about the reserve.
