Update from Norfolk County Council regarding reporting Highway defects:
These can now be reported direct on the Norfolk CC website by clicking here or if you prefer or by phone 0344 800 8020.
By using the Customer Service Centre (CSC), you will receive a unique reference for each highway defect that you report, and this number can be used to check the progress of any given enquiry.
On receipt of an enquiry, the CSC will pass this to the most appropriate team who can deal with the issue. Generally, the bulk of the highway enquiries will be passed to the area based teams, in Surlingham’s case the South Area office, but depending on the subject matter, the enquiry may be passed to another team at NCC, or in some instances passed to the District Council, who are responsible for street sweeping/litter picking, street name plates and planning enquiries.
Please be aware that due to the recent re-organisation, all of our available resource for dealing with incoming enquiries are now based in our Customer Service Centre at County Hall, we no longer have any admin support at the Area Offices.
