Whether you are looking to get your creative juices flowing or to find a new way into mindfulness, we might just have the answer for you! To celebrate creativity and wellbeing week we are offering two great online courses which will aim to broaden your horizons.
These courses are offered free to all adults who live or work in the Broadland and South Norfolk areas. No previous skills or experience are required, just an open mind and a willingness to learn.
As the courses are run online participants will need a reliable internet connection, the use of a laptop, computer tablet or phone to access the virtual workshop, and pen and paper.
Full details of the two courses can be found below. To book a place on either of these fantastic courses visit: https://www.south-norfolk.gov.uk/residents/communities/creativity-and-wellbeing-workshops
Creative Letter Writing ‘Yours sincerely’
Discover the simple joy of writing a letter, and the mindful benefits of putting pen to paper.
Staff from the Norfolk Record office will introduce you to some historical voices from their archives of letters, followed by a creative writing session led by an experienced and supportive local writer
Wednesday 19 May, 10am to 12 noon
Mindful Collaging
Explore your creative side by discovering new ideas to create your own work of art. Using walking as inspiration, the workshop will focus on how we can use sensory experiences to create unique art works with collage. The session invites you to meet likeminded people and enjoy learning new techniques using found and recycled materials.
Before the event all registered attendees will be sent an introduction to mindful walking and a list of equipment needed in advance; these will be things you have around the home.
