This reminder is because there have been recent incidents of walkers being harmed by cattle.

When walking though fields where there are livestock take extra care and stay as far away from them as you can. If this involves walking off the footpath do so and re-join it at the next opportunity. If you are in a group or have children with you stay together.

Dogs should be kept on a lead. However, if you feel threatened release the dog as cattle are likely to follow the dog and the dog can run away.

Remember if you open a farm gate close it behind you and leave nothing behind other than foot prints.
