I hope you keeping well and enjoying the ‘back to school’ weather.

Firstly, may I offer thanks to everyone who took part in or supported yesterday’s 40th Anniversary Cycle Ride, which is a great support to our churches and the Norfolk Churches Trust. 

This Sunday’s services (10th) are 9.30am Communion at Surlingham (with an opportunity to receive anointing for healing and grace), and 11am Communion at Rockland.

Celtic Prayer meets on Tuesday (12th) at 10am in Surlingham Church porch.

On Wednesday (13th) Art Cafe meets in the Barn between 10.30am and 12.15pm. Our theme is ‘My Summer’ . All our welcome to share memories of the summer, or anything we’ve seen or made..

Next Sunday (Sept 17th) sees Communionat 9.30am in Bramerton and 11am in Kirby Bedon. There’s Morning Worship at Claxton, 9.30am.  

Finally, I received the sad news of Barbara Ledward’s death from her daughter. Barbara is fondly remembered by those who knew her and John during their time here, as a great support to John as Rector and to many others in our benefice. Her funeral will take place at Brundall Church on Sept 22nd (time to be confirmed) and will also be livestreamed. I will pass on this information when I have received it. We give thanks for her life and pray for her family and friends at this sad and painful time.
