This is the picture that hangs in the vestry of Surlingham Church. It reportedly comes from the 1930s or thereabouts but certainly before the Second World War. If you can help identify anyone in the picture, please use contact us so that we can identify some of the people in the picture.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in Saturday evening’s quiz at the Ferry House, in particular to Sonia for making us all so welcome, to Helen Webster for a stunning selection of desserts and to our quiz masters for the questions. Lots of other people also played their part in organising the event so thank you to all of you – and of course to everyone who came along and participated on the night.
After paying for the supper, a profit of £234.00 was made and hopefully everyone had a good time.

Hope you can join us on Thursday, 13th March at 7pm for a Variety Concert at The Sainsbury Centre, UEA campus. High school students from Framingham Earl share the stage with amateur and professional musicians inlcuding the vibrant beats of DrumSKin and dulcet tones of soprano Pip Jenkinson. All are raising the roof in aid of the guardians’ shelter at Dedza District Hospital in Malawi, including promoting the use of fuel efficient clay ovens.
