I hope you’re keeping well.

This Sunday we join with our Thurton benefice friends for a 10am Candlemas Communion at Rockland St. Mary, followed by tea and coffee in the Barn. At 4pm, Helen will lead ‘Still with Snowdrops’ at the Barn. Snowdrops are sometimes known as Candlemas Bells. They provide our theme for stillness, contemplation, words and music.

Warm Welcome at the Barn is open on Monday 30th from 11am to 4pm, for refreshments, lunches, cakes and good company.

On Wednesday 1st February Claxton Community Cafe meets in the Village Hall from 10am-12 noon. All welcome.

Looking ahead to the following Sunday 5th February, our services are Communion at Claxton, 9.30am and Morning Worship at Carleton St. Peter at 11am.

The lunch club will meet on the 4th Wednesday in February because of the School Half Term holiday.

Lunch will be served on 22nd February at 12.30 with the usual raffle and tabletop

We are now fully booked for our Burns Night Friday 27th January. Every table is taken from 6pm and our kitchen will stop taking new food orders from 5pm. There will be no standing room either, but you’re welcome to sit under our outside canopy with a drink, but you’ll need to wrap up warm!

Just like that it’s almost February! So our Valentine’s offer is now ready to be ordered. If you plan to celebrate with us please book early to avoid disappointment. Remember you can have it with us or take away too.

On St Valentines week (11th to the 18th) not only will we have the special Afternoon Tea but also we will continue to do our Winter Warmer with a romantic twist ❤️ for the same price £6,90!

On another note, many of you have asked when will our Winter Break be well this year we decided not to have Winter Break. Instead we will take some days off once in a while so you don’t miss us for a whole week! But we will let everyone know the dates.
