We are pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Hill as Head Chef here at Coldham Hall, Craig brings a wealth of experience having been the Head Chef at The Eagle in Cambridge, one of the busiest pubs in East Anglia. He has come to Surlingham to be able to run his own kitchen with appetising food without the controlling influences of a big corporation which will allow him to grow and promote our rural riverside independent pub.
With his newly appointed kitchen staff he has produced a really appealing Winter menu and has included some winter warmers such as suet puddings, and a great selection of vegetarian dishes, see the menu at http://www.coldhamhall.com/menu
Under Craig’s guidance we have invested in new kitchen equipment which will enable us to produce food quicker in the summer months and alleviate some of the waiting times we experienced during a few of the warm weekends this year, without compromising the quality of traditional cooking and use of local ingredients that we have always promoted.
Over this year Keeleigh, our Events Manager, has had great success in hosting weddings, private parties etc utilising our new outside bar and refurbished patio area and Craig is looking to expand on these activities and will be pleased to discuss menus etc for any forthcoming parties and events planned. For large events exclusive use of Coldham Hall has been possible.
Coldham Hall is open for food 7 days a week, 12.00 to 14.30, 18.00 to 20.30 (Sunday 12.00 to 16.00) the bar being open 12.00 until late every day all through the winter except Christmas Day which will be the only closed day.
