Trussell Trust Food Bank Collection

Thanks to everyone who donated.  I was really touched by the response and generosity of people at such a difficult time.  When I emptied my boot at their warehouse, the volunteer I spoke to apologised as he said they would normally send personal thanks for a donation such as ours, but they were so busy at present, they weren’t getting around to their thank-you’s.  I told him not to worry and that I would pass on his gratitude.

He was especially grateful as he said this weekend he’d been delivering to more families than ever before, as families feel the economic pinch of the situation we find ourselves in. He reiterated the need for canned tomatoes, canned fruit, packets of ‘smash’, long life milk, and long life fruit juice.

With that in mind I intend to take another donation next month. So as before, please could people leave donations on my porch by 9am Monday 1st June. If you who would like more information about The Trussell Trust, please visit their website here:
