Good morning, we hope your day has begun well.

Here is today’s service, a Celtic Morning Prayer for the First Sunday after Trinity. The service sheet is attached trinity-1-rock-ben20.pdf
After one week’s gap, you are also warmly invited to join us for our Happy Hour Zoom gathering at 5pm today. We’d love to see you.

As you are probably aware, the government recently announced that places of worship can be opened to one person at a time for individual prayer. Whilst these are positive steps, the government has only issued specific guidance on Friday on how this can be achieved safely for both visitors and those responsible for opening churches and cleaning. The CofE is publishing updated advice that we will follow.
As a consequence, our churches will open gradually, as we establish good practices that we will need to follow for the forseeable future. In order to protect health and safety, there is no obligation to re-open, and it may be that churches will remain closed while restrictions apply. With Surlingham PCC’s support, we are working towards opening the church there one day per week, using the CofE risk assessment and cleaning guidance.  I will keep you informed about progress and hope that Surlingham’s experience may benefit other parishes as we consider further re-openings.
With best wishes, Nick and Helen
