Surlingham will be sad to see the departure of Derry Kelleher this week, as he moves up to Scotland. 

Derry has lived in the village for over 40 years. He is chair of the parochial church council. Amongst other things he project-managed the new kitchen extension at the church in 2013 and was active in getting two new church bells in 2000 and restarting the ringing band.  His late wife Cathy was a well-loved teacher at the school.
