Many thanks to everyone involved: the organisers, the flower arrangers, cake makers, refreshments sellers, those ‘on duty’ during the weekend and of course all the visitors.

The Parish Council wishes to thank everyone involved in the celebrations over the Jubilee holiday. To those who hosted events, and those who assisted; to all who gave their time and creativity – bakers, makers, flower arrangers and everyone else involved – and of course to everyone who attended events and made them such a success, we say congratulations, and thank you for your part in this memorable occasion.

Jubilee video, services and events for Sunday June 5th

Dear all,

I hope you’re enjoying the long Jubilee weekend and celebrations both near and far!

We’ve made a Jubilee thanksgiving video with plenty of well-known hymns that can be watched here

This Sunday’s services begin with Pentecost Communion at 9.30am, with another chance to see Claxton’s beautiful ‘Flowers for the Queen’ displays.

Surlingham’s ‘Royal Premieres’ Flower Festival and ‘Knitted Jubilee Street Party’ is proving to be ‘big box office’ itself, with refreshments served from 10am-4pm, and ending with Jubilee songs of Praise at 4.30pm.

Don’t be deterred by the weather forecast from coming to Carleton St. Peter, where the church has been decorated for the Jubilee and refreshments will be served inside straight after the 2pm Jubilee Songs of Praise!

Rockland St. Mary’s Jubilee Tea will take place in the Parish Room and at Black Dyke between 2 and 5pm.

God save the Queen,

Nick
