A lovely evening was spent at the Ferry House last night at an Irish themed quiz hosted by quiz-master Jack. Rounds included potato carving… of animals ..
Thank you Jack for an excellent quiz and for helping us find our inner sculptor.

I AM MARK is the Gospel told, without comment or commentary. It has been performed to critical acclaim around the country and abroad, performing to sell-out audiences at three runs at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Hello everyone! We would like to share some news with you all.
As many are already aware, Ana hasn’t been well for some time now and due to this we are changing our opening days and hours. So from tomorrow onwards these are our new opening times:
Monday & Tuesday – closed
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday – 10.00 – 4.00
Saturday & Sunday – 9.00 – 4.00
Bank Holiday Mondays – open 10.00 – 4.00
We will continue to do our Very Special Evenings every month (this month on the 28th and it will be a Portuguese Wine Tasting evening).
The other big news is our Special Meals over the weekend. Saturdays we bring to you the “Ultimate Portuguese Toastie” and Sundays a “Traditional Portuguese Sunday Lunch” that varies every week – this Sunday we will have Algarve Seafood Rice (bookings are required). For these meals you can bring your own wine too.
Mother’s Day we will also have a super Special Menu!
And lastly, Joaquim has started his Patisserie Classes on Thursdays. This Thursday the theme is “Portuguese Sausage Rolls” and on the 20th “The secrets of Joaquim’s Sourdough”. If you want to come please message us or call (our new number will be up and running from this Friday).
That was a looooong catch up.
Thank you all again for your kind words and support. We do love our little amazing village. See you soon!
Meet Dodo’s, inspired by Napoliten, a Mauritian biscuit I grew up baking & gobbling! Traditionally made from two buttery, biscuit discs sandwiched with jam and dunked in a simple pink, glace icing. I’ve spritzed them up to make them extra special & the most delicious gift to celebrate all the mother figures in your life or, to mark the end of Ramadan 🌙 with your friends & family.
Flavours include ~ Lemony 🍋- homemade lemon curd & lemon icing ~ Floral 🌹- house made raspberry jam, rose & violet icing ~ Coconut almond 🥥- house made raspberry jam, almond icing & coconut sprinkle.
