Just to advise the problem with raw sewerage by the pumping station has been reported to AWA this morning.

AWA will attend within the next 6 hours.

Unless of course it has already been reported and resolved.

Good morning all! We hope everyone had a lovely Easter and that you had the most out of it!
We would like to thank everyone who came to us over the looong weekend and enjoyed being with us!
Now we need a two day rest to recover from all this hard work.

I am very pleased to report that Sylvia is feeling much better and is planning to open the Village Shop & Post Office from today.

Revised opening hours until further notice will be

9am to 1pm  &   3 to 4:30pm

As you are already aware 3 of a possible 7 Councillors were elected to take office for the next 4 years with effect from 8^th May 2019.

It was disappointing that more residents did not submit nominations, given the strength of feeling within the village in the past on issues such as flooding, the primary school, St Mary’s and St Saviour’s church, dog bins, red box, tree preservation, tourism, pond, a village plan that goes hand in hand with planning, parish hall, litter, play park, staithe, village shop, footpaths, speeding, pot holes and much more.

It is important that the council represents a broad spectrum of the community to ensure a balanced debate on all issues.

If you do care about the place where you live and would like to help bring about change in the village then why not consider being co-opted onto the council?

As the public face of the council you would attend regular meetings and share the responsibilities of the council with your colleagues.

If you wish you can access training provided by Norfolk Association of Local Councils.
