The Annual Governance Accountability Report, Exercise of Public Rights, Bank Reconciliation, Explanation of Variances and Expenditure over £100.

There is no requirement for the financial year 2017-18 to have the accounts audited externally as neither receipts nor payments exceeded £25k.  The accounts have been audited internally by the Parish Council’s auditor ADEPTA.

All bank holiday weekend we have 12 ales from local brewers plus a host of pork specials. On Saturday we will have a hog roast through the day!

Regarding the post for someone to cut the footpath and the playgound. Thank you, for all of your offers to help. A volunteer has already started to get to grips with the area.

Surlingham Primary School children had a competition to design posters to encourage drivers to slow down in the village. The two winning posters are shown below. The Parish Council has asked Norfolk County Council to advise if the posters are suitable for making into signs and if they are, to advise where they can lawfully be placed.

The Parish Council has been notified of a broken manhole cover close to number 53 The Green. I understand the cover has dropped into the drain.

Norfolk County Council has been informed.

The Parish Council are looking for someone to cut the grass on the footpath from New Road to The Street and keep the playground tidy too.

The Parish Council will supply the lawn mower and there will be also be a small remuneration paid for your time.

Sunday afternoon is proving better than the morning for some of our volunteers so we’re changing the time of this Sunday’s session.  We’ll be meeting on the allotment at 2 p.m. this Sunday (May13).  All welcome.  With apologies for any inconvenience caused by changing the time.
