You may have seen the recent post from the committee which arranged the Surlingham Festival 2 years ago. Realising this might happen following discussions with Karen (chair of that committee) we agreed together that if they were unable to proceed this year then a number of village residents who were keen to see the fayre continue would take on the arrangements.
Surlingham Fayre will take place on Saturday September 1 in the lovely grounds of Padmaloka and we’ll be aiming to provide an enjoyable social event similar to past Fayres. If you are connected with a club, society, or other organisation or have a small local business and would like to run a stall or an activity to raise funds and publicise your group, please contact Pippa Thurlow (538 245) or Pat Scowen (538 791).
If you’d like to join us at the orchard on Sunday May 13 (10am-12) we’ll be hoping to finish the fencing. Everyone welcome. Ring Pat Scowen (538791) if you’d like further information.

Glorious weather. More cafes on the first Sundays of June. July and August 2-4.30pm.
to all those who helped run the pop-up cafe this afternoon – and to all of you who came to walk and eat cake! It was our most successful cafe so far and this afternoon we raised £241 to go towards church repairs. I do hope everyone who came along enjoyed the sunshine, tea and cakes.
Plenty of outside seating and delicious cakes. Cafetiere coffee, and tea.
