Surlingham Play Area Consultation – is live!

Surlingham Parish Council is pleased to launch the public consultation for the proposed refurbishment of the village play area. The consultation will run from 1 April to 30 April 2026, and we’re inviting all residents to share their views on the designs, equipment options, and overall layout.

Your feedback will directly influence the final proposals, so we encourage everyone—especially families and regular users of the play area—to take part.

Involving Surlingham Primary School

Children at Surlingham Primary School will also be invited to participate in the consultation when they return after the Easter Holidays.
Communication from the Parish Council will be sent via the school to ensure pupils have the opportunity to contribute their ideas.

You can complete the consultation survey online by clicking the link below:

No85 bus service – Have your say!

Surlingham Parish Council has been in regular contact with Transport Made Simple Group (TMSG) over the past couple of months regarding the acquisition of Konectbus, which currently operates the No. 85 service through the village.

The Council had hoped to arrange a community engagement meeting with TMSG so parishioners could raise any concerns, complaints, or suggestions. However, a public consultation—shared on our Facebook page—closed on 13 February 2026.

Unfortunately, due to a miscommunication within TMSG, their Stakeholder Engagement Lead was not made aware of the consultation. Had he known, he would have visited the area to gather feedback from residents who were unable or uncomfortable responding online.

Although the formal consultation period has now ended, the Council would still like to gather input from parishioners. If you have comments, concerns, or suggestions about the No. 85 service, please email them to the Parish Clerk:

📧 clerk@surlingham-pc.gov.uk

All correspondence will be forwarded to TMSG for their review.

🗓 Deadline for submissions: 31 March 2026

Thank you for taking the time to share your views.
