The Ferry House – update

Happy New Year to you ALL!

Sonia and her team would like to thank you all for your custom over the festive period.  We were tremendously busy and thoroughly enjoyed looking after you all!  Please remember, we are open 365 days a year, serving food from 12 noon to 9pm every day.  We are here for you – so do let us know if you would like us to put on any special events or if there is anyway we can support the village.

Our lovely log fire is lit every day during these cold months and we would love to see you!

We have a couple of homemade heart-warming seasonal soups to tempt you down – Spicy Winter Vegetable and Carrot and Coriander – both served with a freshly baked baguette – only £4.50!  Our full menu is also always available which includes a short crust beef and onion pie this week – always a favourite!

Lee Vasey will be performing here this Sunday (10 Jan) from 4pm – 6.30pm.  This is always a popular event so we do advise booking a table should you wish to eat and enjoy the music, however if it is just the atmosphere and music you wish to enjoy – no booking required!  Come on down – we look forward to seeing you!

Love Sonia and team x

An opportunity to discuss and share new ideas for the Village Festival

With recent changes to the group who have, in the past, organised the Surlingham Village Festival, we are now seeking new members – men & women of all ages please! – to join an organising group, and also to offer help when needed.

This is a great opportunity for village residents to get together and discuss new ideas for the future of the annual festival. We would like to encourage participation by villagers of all ages, including the younger people and the men of the village, to ensure as broad a range of involvement as possible.

Meet with the present committee of 4, to discuss and share your ideas and thoughts, at the Ferry Inn, Surlingham, on Monday 11th January 2016 at 7.30pm. And don’t worry, we have got the roles of Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary covered, so we won’t be asking people to sign up for those roles, unless anyone would like to!

We look forward to seeing you there! And if you would like to be involved, or have an idea or suggestion, and are unable to come on the 11th, then please email Michelle Steel on michelle@totally2u.co.uk.

Thank you!
