Cake recipe from the fayre

I attended your fayre on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it.  I purchased some wonderful blueberry and polenta shortcake from your fayre and was wondering if the person who made it would be willing to share the recipe with me please?

Looking for local historians!

The children at Surlingham school will be studying the first world war this term and we would be very keen to hear from anyone who knows about Surlingham during WW1.

Do you know of any stories or local landmarks relating to the war, or have any photographs or letters in your family archive that you’d be willing to share?

If so, please get in touch with Rose Hoare on (01508) 538157

Come and try Surlingham’s choir – new term this coming Wednesday (9th)

Surlingham Broadnotes choir starts a brand new term THIS coming Wednesday (September 9th) 6-7pm in the village hall.  New members are always welcome but this is a particularly good time to join.   Do come along and try a first session for free. After the first session we pay £21 for each half term of 7 sessions.  Whilst we do do some concerts and performances and our professional choir leader Laura, gets the best out of us for these,  most of us go along just to ‘have a good sing’ and no musical experience or ability is necessary – just a willingness to have a go.

For further details use contact us on this site.
