Fish Van Tomorrow
Just a quick note to say fish van is here tomorrow Thurs 17th Aug 1:30pm until 3pm as normal.
We still have a few packs of the frozen mince on offer at £6.50 for 2x packs.
Teles Patisserie open 10am until 4pm every day except Mondays with lots of tasty treats, meals and meal deal.
The shop is open as normal 8am until 9pm every single day including bank holidays and weekends. A few comments in the shop’s suggestion box asked for the Ice Cream fridge to be topped up and it is now packed to the brim with a range of lollies, ice creams, sorbets and even Pupsicle Dog Ice Creams. Fruit and veg arrived in yesterday with strawberries, salad on the way and pizzas just topped up.
We were also asked if we had any corn on the cob. It should be coming in next week fingers crossed. Cant beat fresh local Corn on the Cob.
Will leave you with this:
Sometimes I tuck my knees into my chest and lean forward.
That’s just how I roll.
Have wonderful week all

Sat 23rd September from 3:30pm. Help to save Surlingham’s heritage
We would love you to join us for afternoon tea at St Mary’s Church on Saturday 23rd September from 3.30pm
Please put this date in your diary now. It would be great to see as many parishioners present as possible at this important village meeting to help save our Church and heritage for future generations.

There will be sun…
Trust us. There will be sun. We do not know exactly when. It could be some time in October 2034, but it is bound to happen at some point (typed whilst wearing a tightly buttoned coat in the middle of August).
And whilst we put the kettle on and wait for that…
Tomorrow Thurs 10th Aug Alec will be at the farm 1:30pm until 3pm with his fish van full of a wonderful array of costal delicacies.
The shop still has some packs of mince and we are doing 2x packs for only £6.50. Don’t miss out though as there is not a huge amount left and it is such a great bargain and mice is so versatile in the kitchen/ great for so many dishes as you know.
We have veg in (best time to get oodles of fresh veg is probably Tuesday evening until Friday afternoon as we get delivery every Tuesday afternoon.) Beef joints and stewing steak etc as well as frozen ready meals, calzones, fish, chicken, pork joints, pies, pasties.
In regards to cheese there is the largest selection now that we have ever had from blues to mozzarella, brie to Bigod, dapple to white lady, feta to parmesan and much much more.
There is local charcuterie to go a long with it, smoked salmon, roll mop, olives, ham, pork pies etc.
Strawberries, drinks, yogurt, milk then choccies and cakes and crisps galore and of course we then have our spice rack and dried goods shelves brimming with flour, preserves, chutneys, pickles, pastas, rice, coffee, gluten free bits and beyond.
Our full range of oils is available as ever on the back wall with refill bottles and opportunities.
Our comments/ suggestions box is still sitting on the table beside the door and we very much enjoy getting your feedback.
One suggestion asked if we could make it clear which items in the shop are made by us.
If it has the Yare Valley Logo on it like the sauces, oils, beef and cosmetics etc then it is made by us. The rest is sourced locally wherever possible and then after that we have some great British produce, especially if requested by you and then beyond if needed. We just cant get the paddy fields and bananas to grow as well as we would like to in Norfolk.
Someone else asked for smoothies and on Instagram poll this seemed like a popular idea, but we just cant seem to find ready to go bottled smoothies from any of our suppliers.
We had Hidden Pearl Cards send a sample to us some samples of Christmas cards. She makes these wonderful card locally, but just not sure on space and if there would be any interest really. Even thought about doing our own bespoke Christmas card with perhaps a sketch of Gilly and Angus and or Guinea Fowl on there, but again not sure if this would be something of interest?
We are always open to ideas and suggestions about what we stock and how you would like to see things so do let us know either in the comments box at the shop or email info@yarevalleyoils.co.uk
Teles Patisserie are wonderful as ever with their wide choice or hot and cold drinks, snacks and meals. They usually have a special offer on like now with the Summer Special which includes meal, drink and choice of cakes and do think of them if you have any bespoke cakes for special occasions as they love to keep busy.
And finally… the most important bit. The terrible joke…
Two cannibals are eating a clown. One asks the other, “Does this taste funny to you?”
Have a wonderful week all
