Lock Down life in Surlingham – a poem

We came across this poem written by Surlingham resident and professional writer,  Amanda Addison and thought it might resonate with Surlingham.org viewers.

A change of climate

Is it just me, or are the birds singing more loudly?

Do the freshly cut lawns smell sweeter?

Are the heavens painted a brighter,

more perfect cobalt blue?

walkers march on,

cyclists whir by

and joggers pad past

seeking a purpose

taking the air

inhaling deeply

whilst some are gasping

in this changing climate.
