We’ve had a fresh delivery of beef at the farm shop! Lots of different steaks, joints and mince available as well as burgers and sausages.
Christmas Trees will also be available from tomorrow 🙂

With exactly one month to go until Christmas the time has come and we are officially GO for gritting across the whole county this evening!

Now, please do remember that while we’ll be treating the 2,200 miles of Norfolk roads we normally cover, there is always a chance for ice to form later into the night or early morning, so be cautious and mindful of other road users.
Before setting out make sure to wrap up warm and be aware pavements may get a little icy. If you’re driving or biking, check your vehicle is ready for the cold.

The Parish Council are asking for bids from residents’ keen to offer a new home for the old telephone kiosk.
The kiosk is in need of a considerable amount of TLC. The paint has already been purchased and will be included.
The successful bidder will be responsible for disconnecting any electricity supply and removal of the kiosk.
If the kiosk is not found a home in Surlingham it will be disposed of. Email if you are interested.

The Parish Council heard from several residents at the Council meeting this week and via email about the recent disruption caused by both misleading road closure signs and the duration that the signs remained in place.
County Councillor Vic Thomson attended the meeting and advised that the signs are put out by a third party provider and not by the County Council. However, the County should have more control.
The following website gives more specific details of roadworks https://one.network/uk
Councillor Thomson will continue to push for better information on roadworks.
