It has been a while since we stopped doing our themed events for obvious reasons.
As we want to celebrate Xmas in the most normal possible way, this Sunday we are bringing our Spirit of Christmas to the village so all the village can get together in an outdoor area having fun!
We invited amazing traders to be with us from 10.00 to 3.00 so you can get that special gift without having to face madness!
see you all then!

We are living in a critical decade in which decisions made now will decide whether global warming is successfully limited to manageable levels. Surlingham Parish Council have produced an information flyer about the climate emergency, to be distributed to all Surlingham households in the next few days. To see an online version Click here. It includes a section on actions we can take as individuals to reduce our impact on the environment.

Please make every effort to attend the Remembrance Sunday service at St Mary’s Church Surlingham tomorrow 14th November from 10:50 to remember and respect the memory of those from our community who have given their lives in the service of others.
If you need assistance to get to the Church, please contact Clive on 538234
We remember the Armed Forces, and their families, from Britain and the Commonwealth, the vital role played by the emergency services and those that have lost their lives as a result of conflict or terrorism.

We had a successful afternoon when we met at the orchard in October and succeeded in clearing the hedgerow abutting the field where we planted saplings a couple of years ago. November 21 may well be our last session on the orchard this year, as the pre-Christmas period is a busy time for everyone.
There are still some brambles and nettles to clear so garden gloves, lopers, and/or a spade/fork would be useful. If you’d like to join us you’ll be most welcome.
