Art Café. Wed 7th Oct at 10:30am

Dear All,
I hope you’re well and looking forward to tomorrow’s Art Cafe: ‘North and South: two fifteenth-century panel paintings from the Courtauld Gallery’

I’ve attached images of the paintings by Alessandro Botticelli and Robert Campin that we’re going to look at, among others.
Best wishes, Nick

Celtic Prayer recommences at St Mary’s Church from Tuesday 13th October

We are pleased to announce that Celtic daily prayer will be recommencing at 10 am on Tuesday 13th and Tuesday 27th October and thereafter on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. Everyone is welcome to join the group for half an hour of reflection on some Bible verses, a song and a meditation set for the day.

Celtic worship is coming together, of being still and aware of the changing seasons, the weather and nature around us. Sometimes our words are not needed; when the birds sing so loudly, we listen in wonder knowing that is simply enough.

We will of course observe all appropriate guidelines, with social distancing and wearing of face coverings.

Revd Mandy Ansell

Can you help?

I need a few volunteers willing to help deliver the ElevenSays and Surlingham Newsletters. The task will take approximately half an hour and involves delivering to about 20 houses every 2 months.

A number of people in our community have generously given their time over the past 10-20 years, but none of us are getting any younger and some stalwarts of the village have advised they would now like to stand down.

Can you help?

Please contact Clive on 01508 538234
