Further to the recent post regarding the necessary cancellation of the Remembrance Sunday service at St Mary’s because of the lockdown.
A representative of our community will be laying a wreath at the Lychgate on behalf of the village at 11am on Remembrance Sunday.
Many have been asking us what we will have available to collect, take away and deliver from Thursday onwards when Lockdown 2.0 begins… so here it is:

With the recent announcement of another lock down we just wanted to let you know we will be open as usual here with our small but mighty shop.
8am-9pm every day including weekends. If there is anything you would like us to source or would like just let us know. We also do home delivery if you cant make it to the shop. Simply click the HERE.
We have fresh beef coming in in 3 weeks so if there are any particular cuts you would like please do let us know. We have fresh Bread in and freshly frozen bread (whatever that means) and milk, eggs, large range of meats, veg coming in tomorrow, lots of cheeses, gifty things (we will be doing hampers soon) and lots of kitchen cupboard essentials.
If you have any questions, or need any help with anything we will not leave you in the lurch, no question is too silly. Just pick up the phone and give us a call. Except ‘why is orange jam called marmalade.’ No one knows the answer.

Sadly, because of the imminent lock down from this coming
Thursday for the next 4 weeks, we will be unable to hold any services in church for at least that period, so with this in mind the Remembrance Sunday service has had to be cancelled
Our churches will remain open for private prayer.
I hope and pray that it won’t be too long before we can resume services in all our churches.

We hope you are keeping well.
Attached is today’s video service for All Saints’ Day (Nov 1st)
Sadly, in the light of today’s government announcement, there will be no further Sunday services in church until the forthcoming restrictions are lifted. Our churches will remain open for individual prayer and funerals can still take place there. We will be in touch in the next few days with information about ways we can observe Remembrance Sunday, continue to worship and stay connected in the weeks ahead.

After hearing the news, we will alter a bit what we are doing from Thursday onwards.
As an essencial shop, the bakery will stay open for take aways and deliveries of freshly baked bread, baked goods and food. Exactly in the same way it was during the first lockdown.
Só the seating area (indoors an de outdoors) will be closed. We do know it’s hard but we need to make sure no one uses this spaces while visiting us.
In the light of these news, we will be here for all the support everyone needs either for deliveries or to do shopping dor those who can’t go to the supermarket. As you all know we are always here happy to help.
