Just a quick hello… Hello

Just to say we are open as per normal this weekend and beyond. We are still sticking to 2x people in the shop (all info on ‘HOW TO SHOP’ written on the door as you go in) for foreseeable future. We are also saying still no stopping as it were and no picnics outside the shop or on site (apart from the Patisserie Courtyard now under their guidance).

Quite simply so that you know you can come to use the shop without having to worry about navigating groups of people as it is only really a small grassy area outside the shop. We have removed the picnic bench too. Our ultimate priority is to ensure you feel safe in doing your shop/collection at the farm. Hence why even though it has never been a public right of way we have tried to make it clear that both paths to the farm are to be used solely for access for use of the shop and Patisserie. Our little shop could not survive without you, so we need to make sure it is clear that we must give you priority.

The Patisserie are still operating their collection service, but have set up a few bits and bobs under the new guidance in their courtyard which is worth asking them about.

But essentially, no drastic changes.

Lots of goodies again all weekend do pop in. Otherwise, whatever you are doing have a super weekend all.

The Ferry House will re-open to the public on Saturday 4^th July.

Our opening times are 9am to 12noon serving coffee, bacon butties or similar, and 12noon to 8:30pm serving a smaller menu than before (until we find our feet).  The beer garden will close at 10pm.

In line with government regulations concerning NHS Track and Trace, you will need to provide your name and contact details which will be destroyed after 21 days of your visit.

The pub, inside and out, will be table service only and social distancing must be observed at all times.

Inside the pub there will be seating at tables only. Standing or sitting at the bar is no longer allowed. Indoor gatherings are limited to members of any 2 households.

Outdoor gathering can be for members of 2 households, or up to 6 people from different households.

It is against the law to gather in groups of 30 or more people.

The toilets will be cleaned regularly and can only be accessed from the door from the car park.  Customers need to comply with social distancing rules.

Our river frontage door is for use by customers with pre booked inside tables only.

In the case of rain, customers are not permitted to enter the pub unless social distancing can be maintained.

Due to compliance with Government regulations, there won’t be any live music or TV, and we can’t allow darts.

Whilst we remain a dog friendly establishment any dogs must be on short leads and kept under control at all times.

We realise how limiting these regulations may feel, but if we all observe them and wash our hands regularly, then restrictions will eventually be relaxed.

The Parish Council have begun to organise the boat racks at the staithe. All the craft will be moved to racks to get them off the grass, numbered and contact details of owners recorded.

There are 9 craft whose owners cannot be identified.

If you have a left a dinghy, canoe or kayak at the staithe that you may not have used recently but would like to continue to store it there. Please email the parish clerk on surlinghampc@outlook.com to identify your craft and provide your contact details.

Good morning everyone!

As you all know our priority, along with Yare Valley Farm Shop, is to make your visit to us the safest possible.
So after a lot of thinking we will do a trial of reopening some of our areas in the Patisserie premises only (courtyard and open barn). Be aware that eating and drinking will be only allowed in these designated areas and not on any of the grounds of the farm – as they will continue to operate as they have been for the past months.
The availability of tables will be provided by previous booking – from 10.30 to 3.30.
Attached are all our new guidelines so that everyone knows what to expect when you visit us.

Being our priority safety we will continue to operate as we have been with our take away and delivery services as well as with shopping for others and helping out in every way we can.

These guidelines will be reviewed on a weekly basis and if we feel that at some point it’s not safe, we will stop serving outdoors again.

Teles Patisserie

It’s from Mrs Mitchell. Please can anyone help?
We have it in our Patisserie.

After a lot of thinking, we have decided to try to provide some outdoor spaces so that you can enjoy your experience with us better.

From Saturday onwards, we will have very limited space available for bookings. All the bookings will be confirmed having time slots depending on your requirements. Availability will happen between 10.30 and 3.30 Tuesday to Sunday.

A lot of planning is involved, so there will be new ways of approaching us.

Everything will be served on takeaway cups and boxes. No food will be prepared at the time of your visit. So if you fancy something that’s not on the counter please let us know when you book. If you plan eating at our premises, please book a table as you will only be allowed to eat and drink in our courtyard as Yare Valley Farm continues to operate the same way.

We will as always follow the governments guidelines and we proud ourselves for marking all this experience the safest possible.

Also, we will continue our business in the same way we have had in the past 13 weeks: taking pre orders, collections, take away and deliveries to those who continue to stay home As well as doing shopping for others.

This is our priority.

Yes, that’s right: tomorrow Teles Patisserie turns 2 years old! And what two years these have been! We had a lot planned for the celebrations but due to the actual situation nothing will happen. So, we would like to thank everyone in the village and beyond for your continuous support, concerns, kind words and friendship as well as our nomination for The Aylsham Show Food and Drink Hero. We also need to thank the Mack family and everyone at Yare Valley Farm for having us and helping us in this life project!
It has been an honour to help everyone in the village throughout these unprecedented times and we intend to continue to do so.
In the next few days we will announce how we will be operating from Saturday onwards but rest assured that we will continue to proceed having just one thing in mind: that you and us are safe.
Só, we’d love to see you tomorrow around us throughout the day… some surprises are prepared despite the world situation.

We are still on track to open on July 4th.
Having taken in all the guidance available we will have the advised rules in place as well as a few of our own to ensure the safety of both customers and staff. 

We are now taking bookings and will operate a bookings only policy for the time being. We will open to the outside areas only, offering table service for food and drink. Inside will be available for toilets, and on days when the sun doesn’t quite shine as bright as we hope the restaurant will be opened up. 

Please make sure you book in with us as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment on the day via info@coldhamhall.com or leave a message on 01508538366 and we will get back to you with confirmation as soon as we can.
Walk ins will be welcome if we have space, but booking is certainly the best way forward.

We will being using single use (biodegradable/recyclable) containers for all food and drink, including cutlery, however you may bring your own cutlery should you feel more comfortable and take it away with you.

We really can’t wait to see you all this weekend!
