Unfortunately due to the inclement weather I shall not be posting the minutes etc on the noticboard in the village for a couple of days (depending on the thaw!).

The funeral of Peter Hiscocks will take place at 3p.m. on Monday March 5th at Earlham Crematiorium, Norwich.

Peter did not wish for flowers at the funeral but instead asked for donations to the British Heart Foundation in memory of his daughter Rosie.

There has been instances whereby road users have been endangered by obstructions on the verge of the highway. The placement of posts, stones, wooden blocks etc impede road users when they need to take urgent action to avoid traffic.

Guidance from Norfolk County Council confirms that the verge forms part of the Highway and under the Highways Act, the Highway must not be obstructed, and must remain available for Highway users at all times.

In the event of accident and injury, and if the obstructions are deemed to be the cause, there is the possibility that legal action could be taken against the property owner to recover damages.

Norfolk County Council will investigate if complaints are received.

For your diary. There will be another charity quiz at The Ferry on Friday 27th April 2018, this time to raise funds for East Anglian Children’s Hospices’ (EACH) new hospice, the nook, at Framingham Earl.
