In October and November you can dispose of your hazardous household waste free of charge at the Recycling Centres listed below.  

This includes aerosols, anti-freeze, drain cleaners, fertilisers, paint and weed killer.  The events are for residents’ household waste only – NOT for businesses, groups or organisations.  For more info and a full list of the items we will and will not accept https://orlo.uk/US5vd

A scheme to convert septic tanks to private package treatment plants has been launched by the Council owned company: Norfolk Environmental Credits. Existing septic tanks will be replaced at no cost to the homeowner. For the scheme to be accepted in Surlingham, a minimum of 10 parishioners must register their interest.
