Your village shop needs you – please show your support

Our Village Shop & Post Office – both open 7 days a week! – plays a vital role in our community, along with our School, pubs, other local businesses and community groups. It helps to make our village an attractive place to live.

But like all small village shops, it needs the support of the village community.

So please show your support and pop in regularly for all you need plus a catch-up with Sylvia!

Where else could you find a shop, Post Office, dry cleaning service and Avon Representative all under one roof?!

Thank you Surlingham.

Missing norwegian cat – needs medication

This is a repeat appeal – but the owner is thinks this cat may have managed to survive this long on their own, but will be becoming less and less healthy without medication. So if you may have seen him, please do get in touch.
Large, placid, fluffy, brown tabby, neutered male, 5 years 6 months, pale muzzle and chin, with very long thick dark tail, carried low like a fox. Distinctive appearance, wide triangular head, large hairy ears, long straight nose, almond shaped green eyes.
Was wearing a Seresto grey rubber flea collar, fitted with a translucent pocket and Loc8Tor tracker, when last seen. His health is fragile, and we need him back to give him the right medication. If he’s come to grief, then at least we’d like to know.
Any sightings, please call Sarah and Dennis: 01508 480298 or text a photo to: 074341 130675 (infrequent signal, so best to call landline first, please).

Cafe at the church this Saturday afternoon

Just so that Surlingham residents know, there will be a pop-up café at the church this coming Saturday (8th July) 2pm – 4.30pm. We have invited visitors from all over Norfolk, and holiday makers to discover our lovely riverside walk (from the church towards the Ferry) and have pots of tea, cafetiere coffee and delicious Surlingham-made cakes. All profits will go towards using the church as a historical and community venue.

Locals of course, are already well aware of the walk, but will be very welcome at the café.
