Q: How do pigs write top secret messages? A: With invisible oink

porkmay
Now this really is a quick one, but very much for the right reasons, the food talks for itself.

For the past few months we have been specifically rearing 2 pigs on the farm for you and the meat is now ready as of this morning to get from the farm shop. It will be kept fresh in the fridge for a week then will be transferred to the freezer.

A must see and try whilst you can as it is a deliciously sweet and succulent meat in various forms of joints, chops, sausages, belly slices etc. We have cooking apples for that perfect apple sauce, veg and lots of kitchen cupboard essentials including rice, noodles, pasta and spices and herbs to go with and complete your meal.

See you at the shop

YARE VALLEY TEAM.

River Walk and Pop up Café July 8th and July 30th 2pm-4.30pm

You may see posters for these events beyond the local area, as we are hoping to attract interest from Norwich and South Norfolk residents and holidaymakers. On two July afternoons, visitors will be shown the walk from the church along the river towards The Ferry and there will be a café serving cafetieres of coffee, pots of tea and cakes, in the new, social area of the church and outside. The idea is to raise some money for the church building but also to make more people aware of our pretty riverside walk and local amenities. Whilst our primary focus is those from beyond The Village, local people are of course, very welcome to come along too.

What do you call a sad strawberry? A blueberry.

Now if you did not laugh at that then you have a heart of ice… ice I tell you!

This week I will spare you the bad jokes. Well any more bad jokes…

This weekend we have the first local strawberries of the season, more fresh local asparagus, homemade apple cake, single cream to pour on your wonderful strawbs, yoghurt, chocolate, eggs, pork pies, bacon, cheeses, lots of fresh veg and more more more.

You know where we are, you signed up to the newsletter, unless someone put your email address down for a laugh. In which case, you should thank them as it is a jolly nice place to be.

Oooh! We also have some new additions to our kitchen cupboard essentials now. Noodles, quinoa, cous cous, lots of herbs and spices, olives and more so that you can make much more of a complete meal from everything within the shop.

Should be a great weekend. Whether you need to rest those feet with a refreshment, buy a local gift or make a wonderful meal we will be here everyday 8am-9pm. NR14 7GD

As always, have a great weekend.

Why were the little strawberries upset? Because their parents were in a jam!

Sorry… couldn’t help myself.

YARE VALLEY TEAM.
