The winner of the 2013 Surlingham Carpet Indoors Bowls was David Browne and presented by club president Dave Kinney.

Surlingham Carpet Bowls Club meets twice a week one on Tuesday afternoons and the other on Friday evening from 7pm to 10pm

We have around 18 members and most have been with us for 3 years.  The club can offer space for new members over the age of 50 years old.  Tuesday afternoons is £1 for two hours and Friday evening is £2 for three hours.

The bowls club also runs a Mexican Train Club which is a Domino Game with a ‘twist’ which meets up once a month.

All of our produce is locally sourced wherever possible from our suppliers including  Swannington Farm to Fork, The Lowestoft Shellfish Company & Green Pastures. Our salad dressings are made with Yare Valley Oils rapeseed oil based in Surlingham.

Surlingham won the winter round of the inter-village bosseln race yesterday for the second time.

Bosseln is a road bowling game where team with the fewest throws to reach a given distance along a set road course is the winner. 

Yesterday, Surlingham and Rockland both scored 54 with Bramerton on 57 throws.  Surlingham won the toss to take the victory at the end of the match.
