Teles Patisserie lockdown update

As per the government announcement yesterday, when we reopen on Friday, we will continue to operate with our take away and delivery system as we have been doing pretty much since March last year.

Apart from everything you already know you can have from us, we will have special meals over the weekends to take away. This will be updated every Wednesday so there is time for you to put your order in.

We are also happy to help you out in everything you need as before either doing your an shopping or any other for errands you won’t be able to do.

Also our helping hands hampers are back but this time to help families that are struggling. Any little help is welcome from rice to beans or toiletries. JUST leave it with Ana at the counter.

And this is the menu for this weekend.

Just a call, a message or an email away.

Stay safe everyone

Love,

Joaquim and Ana.

Isn’t Life Difficult Enough For Us All Right Now?

Last week there was a report of several bags of dog poo being left on an allotment. Also dog owner still not picking up after their pets on the footpath. See below what to do if you see this happening.

It is an offence in South Norfolk for a person in control of a dog not to clear up the dog mess immediately on any land that is open to the air and to which the public is entitled or permitted to have access (with or without payment).

Offenders can be issued with a fixed penalty notice of £80, reduced to £60 if paid within 10 days, or if taken to court, a fine up to £1,000.

If you see someone allowing their dog to foul and not clear it up, please contact SNDC with the owner’s details and where it happened. SNDC will investigate and clean it up. You can do this online using the link to the form here

Today we are made aware of a break-in at Surlingham Garage.

At 3.44 a.m. on 4th January at least 1.5 tons of car batteries were stolen.

Thieves arrived in a plain white transit van and parked in the driveway of 13 South View. They gained access to the workshop and passed the batteries over the fence into the garden of 13 South View, loaded them into their van and drove off. Fortunately, there is cctv footage.

If you have any information regarding this incident, contact the police telephone 101 or call into Poringland Police Station. If you wish to remain anonymous contact Crime stoppers online here

Residents are advised to keep your eyes open and sheds and outhouses secured.

Christmas Services and Food Bank update

Dear All,
I hope you are keeping well.

First, a huge thank you to everyone who generously donated toiletries and food to the Norwich Food Bank. 154 items were gratefully received.

Online Christmas Services begin tonight with 11.30pm Midnight Mass from the Barn via Zoom. The order of service is attached here. midnight20.docx

https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85762510561?pwd=cW1Cb0toZy9YMmFqUDcwVjZGNElVdz09 Meeting ID: 857 6251 0561 Passcode: 838263

There will be an online Christmas Nativity Service for all ages at 9.30am tomorrow also using Zoom.

https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88257504396?pwd=Qi8zNkZOMHFycVY3QThGZEtkQzlEUT09 Meeting ID: 882 5750 4396 Passcode: 294352

THERE WILL BE NO FACE TO FACE SERVICE TOMORROW AT CLAXTON.

In response to the rapidly changing situation, it is with great sadness but also compassion that face to face services have been suspended until it is safer to do so. We take our duty of care for those who attend worship and events very seriously, and we are called now to care for one another in different ways. Funerals, weddings and baptisms can still take place, subject to Tier 4 restrictions. Our Churches remain open for private prayer as before.
We are here and happy to be contacted by anyone who wishes to have a chat or hear a carol. We can also supply festive food and Christmas colouring sheets on request.

Wishing you a peaceful Christmas and hopeful New Year,
Revds. Nick and Helen
