Our Church reopens today at 10am

Dear All,

I hope your day has begun well. 
Today marks the re-opening of services in church in our benefice, beginning with morning prayer at Surlingham, 10am. The order of service is attached morning-prayer-12.7.20-1.pdf
and also forms the basis of this week’s video service, filmed at Claxton Church.

Unfortunately, Zoom Happy Hour has been cancelled, as Helen’s mother is unwell and we are travelling to Anglesey to support her and care for Helen’s father.

Next Sunday’s benefice service will be held at Rockland St. Mary, 10am. Please e-mail or leave a message on 01508 508014 if you wish to attend.

Injured cat on The Green

A black and white male cat (un-neutered) is visiting homes on The Green. This cat has severe injuries to both of his ears and in my opinion is in need of medical assistance. If this is your cat, please contact Vanessa on 01508 538955.

Traffic flow on Mill Road from 17 March to 17 April 2020

The graph shows a total number of 5767 cars travelled along Mill Road between that period.  Just over 700 of those exceeded the speed limit of 30 MPH.

ZOOM NIGHT PRAYER
We have another engagement this afternoon, so in place of this week’s Happy Hour, there will be a service of Night Prayer at 8pm – a peaceful way to end Sunday.

CHURCHES OPENING FOR PRIVATE PRAYER
Two more of our churches are opening for private prayer this week, which means that between 10am and 5pm you can visit on the following days: 
Tuesdays          Rockland  
Wednesdays    Surlingham 
Saturdays         Claxton 
We’ll keep you posted about further re-openings.

CHURCH SERVICES TO BEGIN ON 12th JULY
From today, churches can open for public worship following new guidelines. We’re planning to hold a weekly benefice service from next Sunday onwards. There will be a morning service at Surlingham Church on July 12th at 10.00am. Due to social distancing rules, there will be a limited number of places, so please would you let us know if you wish to attend. If there are a large number of people coming, we will arrange a second service there, beginning at 11.15am.
