Many of you have been asking us when will we rest from Xmas madness… we’ll that’s it: we will be away for for days first week of February but back on business on the 7th!

Oh and we have new opening times that keep everyone happier: everyday including weekends 10.00 to 4.00! Watch out for all our news, daily specials and events on our website!

Residents have experienced children causing a nuisance by knocking on their doors and then running away before the door is opened. While the children may find this funny the residents do not. In this age of scams and opportunist burglaries it is worrying for residents especially those living alone, elderly or infirm.

The other concern is more serious and involves the lighting of fires. This is a dangerous pastime and should be deterred. A book was set on fire by the bus shelter on The Common and children have been observed lighting and throwing balls of paper around.

If you have children, please have a quiet word to prevent any escalation of either subject.

What’s happening next week…

Next Sunday 2nd February at St Mary’s Church, we will be having a special Candlemas Gift Service with our new vicar, the Rev. Canon Nick Garrard. It will be lovely to fill the Church for his first service.
