Village Meditation a Great Success!

2nd poster initSML

A big thank you to everyone who made it to our first ever meditation evening class for the village. The turnout exceeded our expectations and we raised £100 for the Ted Ellis Trust. It was great to share Padmaloka’s resources with the local community and raise money for such a good cause, everyone involved here really enjoyed the evening and is looking forward to the next one.

The next Introduction to Buddhist Meditation class will be on Wednesday 4th October, here at Padmaloka (first driveway on the right as you come into The Covey).  Arrive from 19:00 for a 19:30 start,

Everyone is welcome, whether you have meditated before or not, the class will be fully accessible to complete beginners. Feel free to invite your friends along. Under 18’s should be accompanied by a parent or designated guardian.

There will be a suggested donation of £5 with all proceeds donated to the Ted Ellis Trust. There’s no need to book, simply turn up on the night. If you have any questions or require more info you can phone us: 01508 538112 or email us: info@padmaloka.org.uk

If you are unable to make these classes, would like to take it further or would like something more regular, then do visit the Norwich Buddhist Centre, as they offer a full programme of regular classes for all levels.

Surlingham Mums on the Run go Gung-Ho

Surlingham mums went Gung-Ho at Earlham Park today.

Gung-Ho is a 5k obstacle course of inflatables and fun run ending in a massive slide into a pool of foam hence the bubbbles in the photo.

Are you an artist/craftsperson, home baker or maker of preserves…

We’re planning an Autumn Fayre in the Church on Saturday November 18 and are inviting contributors who would welcome the opportunity to display and/or sell their wares.  And if you’d be willing to demonstrate your craft too that would be wonderful.  If you are interested in participating in this event please contact Pippa Thurlow 538245 or Pat Scowen 538791. (Editor: or email CONTACT US and we’ll forward the message.)

Message received from Pat Scowen.
