River Walk & Pop-Up Café success.

Congratulations to everyone from The Friends of Surlingham Church who played a part in organising and helping the second ‘river walk and cafe’ last Sunday afternoon. What a fantastic afternoon it was; even the weather stayed sunny.

Many people from all over Norfolk came to visit St Mary’s and enjoy our beautiful riverside walk. There was a real sense of community as locals and visitors alike sat around tables both in and outside of the Church enjoying a fine selection of scrummy homemade cakes with fresh coffee and pots of tea.

The event raised £168.60 in addition to the £157 collected at the first walk & café on 8th July. The money will be used to help support the church as a community venue and an historic building.

Future events are being planned for next year.
