Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2024

Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Surlingham (STRO11669) Notice

In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to a burst water main the use by vehicles (of any class) of the U78020 The Common from 200m north of its junction with U78022 Coldham Hall Carnser for 50m northwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Surlingham will be temporarily prohibited.

Alternative route is via: U78020 The Common, Ferry Road, New Road, Pond Lane, School Lane, The Green, The Covey, The Street

The closure is necessary because of the likelihood of danger to the public or serious damage to the road or both.

The closure is anticipated to take place from 2nd to 8th October 2024 but the Road may continue to be closed until the 22nd October 2024 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

This Notice shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works / when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 22nd October 2024 without further notice.

If necessary, this Notice may be extended for an additional 21 days by further Notice and/or for a maximum of 18 months from the date this Notice is effective by further Order.

A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the restriction/ closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

Temporary Traffic Order – Walnut Hill; 10th October 2024

Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (STRO11374) affecting the C195 Walnut Hill from 50m south of its junction with U78016 Pratts Hill for 150m eastwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Surlingham to facilitate BT pole replacement works, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be between 09:30 and 15:30 on 10th October 2024, but may continue to be closed until the 21st November 2024 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

Alternative route is via: C195 Walnut Hill, School Lane, Mill Road, Surlingham Lane, The Street, Rookery Hill, Bramerton Lane, Rockland Road, Surlingham Road, Bramerton Road (Surlingham, Rockland St. Mary, Bramerton).

Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Road where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.

The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 21st November 2024 without further notice.

If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date the Order is effective.

A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.
