With heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast today Will wanted to remind you that there are sandbags outside the Farm Shop if you need any.

There is a large brown rabbit that plays in one of our paddocks during the day. I can only think its an escaped pet. Its not here all the time but has been around the last few days. Please contact me (or use Contact Us) if its yours.

my wandering brown bin is now safely home!!

My brown bin was taken for emptying by the collectors yesterday but never returned. Guessing they left it elsewhere. If you’ve got an unexpected brown bin can you let me know please – 538791

Surlingham will be sad to see the departure of Derry Kelleher this week, as he moves up to Scotland. 

Derry has lived in the village for over 40 years. He is chair of the parochial church council. Amongst other things he project-managed the new kitchen extension at the church in 2013 and was active in getting two new church bells in 2000 and restarting the ringing band.  His late wife Cathy was a well-loved teacher at the school. 

On behalf of the village we would like to thank Derry for all he has done and to wish him all the very best in his new life. 

I’m pleased to report that Otis is now home ….. and eating very well!
