A message from Carla Russell, Sylvia’s daughter in law.
Following on from my post yesterday, it is with great sorrow to have to Inform you of the passing of Sylvia.
She passed away peacefully last night in her own home surrounded by her family. We would like to thankyou all for the lovely messages which have been a great comfort to us all at this very sad time

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you all that Sylvia has taken a turn for the worst and is slowly deteriorating.
She is comfortable at present and has her family around her.
We know she has many friends who used to visit her while she was in the shop and she has been a big part of the community.
It’s so lovely how many people have asked after her when we have been out and about in the village.
We will keep you all updated on her condition.

After a week off last week, Tim and the East Coast Fishmongers van will be back at the Farm Shop today (10th June) from 10.30am until 4pm.

The Parish Council has agreed until the Covid 19 social distancing and isolation restrictions are completely relaxed virtual meetings via Zoom will continue. Decisions made at virtual meetings from 18 May 2021 will be ratified when the Council resumes face to face meetings.
If the Council imposed the current rule of six for face to face meetings without internet access at the parish hall, Councillors and members of the public would be excluded from taking part in the meeting.

Thank you to everyone who donated cakes, flapjacks, sausage rolls and sandwiches etc which were sold yesterday at an open garden event in aid of the Priscilla Bacon Hospice charity appeal.
I am pleased to advise you that all the money has now been counted and we took the fabulous sum of £852.44
I would be very grateful if you can help make cakes etc for next weekend too as the charity will be hosting another open garden event at The Old Rectory in a Kirby Bedon.
It would be lovely to see you there too. The gardens open at 11am and close at 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday. All proceeds will go to the Priscilla Bacon Hospice.
Please deliver any cakes etc to Mayfield, Ferry Road (538234) on Friday 11th or before 9:30am on Sunday 13th.
